CLEOPATRA DAVID

Cleopatra David was born into an old family of Romanian intellectuals and artists. In recent years, the soprano has focused her career on strengthening the independent cultural sector in Romania, particularly in opera production. Her lyrical voice, with its unique timbre, has been admired on numerous stages in Romania, Italy, Finland, Armenia, France, the United Kingdom, and India. She is also frequently invited to give masterclasses and vocal technique workshops.

She earned her PhD in Music in 2010 under the mentorship of composer Octavian Nemescu and was awarded First Prize at the EUbyLakes Artistic Residency, organized with the support of the European Commission. In 2024, she carried out an extensive artistic residency project at Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, after winning the George Enescu Artistic Residency Grant, offered by the Romanian Cultural Institute.

Cleopatra David is a member of the George Enescu Philharmonic in Bucharest, where, in collaboration with three colleagues, she developed the project that led to the European Heritage Label being awarded to the Romanian Athenaeum. Among her most notable collaborations are those with conductors Alexander Walker, Aleksandr Dmitriev, Ciprian Teodorașcu, Gheorghe Iliuță, Jin Wang, and others.

 

Ieronim Buga

Pianist graduated both piano and conducting sections of Music Academy in Bucharest. He has been performing since 1994 as singer and pianist in various cultural institutions in Bucharest and abroad, such as "George Enescu" Philharmonic, National Radio Orchestra, or "Madrigal" Choir, etc. He participated in many international tours in Spain, Germany, Denmark, and Switzerland. His solo activity is mostly as accompanying pianist and as member in various chamber ensembles.

 

SORIN LUPAȘCU - FRENCH HORN

 

Sorin Lupașcu graduated the national University of Music in Bucharest, at the class of Nicolae Lipoczi. He was a member of Romanian Radio National Orchestra and nowadays he is one of the artists of George Enescu Philharmonic in Bucharest. Lupa;cu is on of the founders of Romanian Brass Ensemble and contemporary chamber music ensemble Profil and an actual member of winds quintets Concordia and Ars Ventus. As member of George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra, he performed under the baton of Placido Domingo, Vadim Repin, Daniel Barenboim, Neville Mariner, Rudolf Buchbinder, Paavo Järvi etc.

Valeriu Stoica - painter/pictor iconar

Născut în comuna Movila – Bărăganul Ialomiţean, la 20 iunie 1952, prezent de peste 3 decenii în reviste de cultură, cum ar fi: România Literară, Luceafărul, Caiete, Muzica, Helis, Săptămâna, premiat la concursuri tradiţionale de pictură, poezie, proză, folclor. Autor al volumelor de versuri Nopţi suprapuse şi Labirint (Ed. Ex Libris – 1995), patru antologii lirice, a publicat în reviste volumul Biserici şi legende şi în 2008 Câmpiile Verticale (Ed.
